15 صفحه اولMillimetre Wave with Rotational Orbital Angular Momentum
Orbital angular momentum (OAM) has been widely studied in fibre and short-range communications. The implementation of millimetre waves with OAM is expected to increase the communication capacity. Most experiments demonstrate the distinction of OAM modes by receiving all of the energy in the surface vertical to the radiation axis in space. However, the reception of OAM is difficult in free space...
متن کاملAngular momentum redistribution and the evolution and morphology of bars
Angular momentum exchange is a driving process for the evolution of barred galaxies. Material at resonance in the bar region loses angular momentum which is taken by material at resonance in the outer disc and/or the halo. By losing angular momentum, the bar grows stronger and slows down. This evolution scenario is backed by both analytical calculations and by N-body simulations. The morphology...
متن کاملThe evolution of black–hole mass and angular momentum
We show that neither accretion nor angular momentum extraction are likely to lead to significant changes in the mass M1 or angular momentum parameter a∗ of a black hole in a binary system with realistic parameters. Current values of M1 and a∗ therefore probably reflect those at formation. We show further that sufficiently energetic jet ejection powered by the black hole’s rotational energy can ...
متن کاملProtostellar angular momentum evolution during gravoturbulent fragmentation
Using hydrodynamic simulations we investigate the rotational properties and angular momentum evolution of prestellar and protostellar cores formed from gravoturbulent fragmentation of interstellar gas clouds. We find the specific angular momentum j of molecular cloud cores in the prestellar phase to be on average 〈 j〉 = 7 × 1020 cm2 s−1 in our models. This is comparable to the observed values. ...
